Together for Humanity -
60 Years of Compassionate Aid
From the heart of Bavaria to the frontlines of crisis: Hilfsverein Nymphenburg
empowers communities through direct, transparent, and heartfelt support since 1964.
Rooted in Tradition. Driven by Purpose.
Hilfsverein Nymphenburg was founded in 1964 by Duke Albrecht and Duchess Marita of Bavaria as a private initiative to bring quiet, practical help to people in Eastern Europe. Today, the mission continues — expanded across several countries, guided by the same values: dignity, compassion, and meaningful impact. We believe in help that lasts: empowering people to help themselves, building sustainable solutions, and working hand in hand with local partners.
Our work is diverse — from reducing old-age poverty in Bavaria to strengthening livelihood security in Kenya, from reconstruction in Ukraine to elderly care in Romania, and from providing basic palliative care in South Africa to supporting vulnerable communities in Albania. But our commitment is always the same: help where it’s needed. Direct, unbureaucratic, and with heart.
